Yesterday I was in Mrs. Karens class and a little girl got sick. I walked her to the nurse to get checked out. When I came back to the class room I started working with a little girl on counting. She was hard to work with because she didn't want to do anything. Once I was finished with her I put the students in their centers and walked around to help each one. When they were done with their centers the students were allowed to play games and read a book. I read a book to the ones who wanted a book read to them.

Yesterday was out full day of being at the elementary school. When I arrived at the school the front office asked that me and my fellow classmates help out passing out papers to other teachers. After that was accomplished I went to the class I was assigned to, I took the kids out to recess and walked around making sure they were playing safely. We went into class and started working on math. I walked around to each table and made sure the students were on task and write their numbers correctly. After that we went to lunch for 35 minutes. When we returned from lunch around 1:30 it was the students activity time. I took and brought them to their activity and picked them up. When we got back to the class we help the kids get their folders and pack up.

Yesterday, in Mrs. Karen's room the students learned about pumpkins. She went over a paper that was named, '"things about a pumpkin." The students each had to come up with something that pumpkins are used for, after that they each felt the pumpkin. Finally, Mrs. Karen began to cut the top off of the pumpkin and explained what she was doing. When she was carving the pumpkin the students went and began their centers. As a student needed help,I walked around to make sure they were on task and answered any questions.

Today
in Mrs. Karens class room I helped a little girl on counting in her centers.
For most of the class I helped students with their centers. In the middle of
the class I assist students to the restroom and
water. Then when all students return in class it is time to switch
centers. As the students are getting settled in there new center I pull kids
one at a time to read sight words. After all the sight words are done When I am in Mrs. Karens kindergarted class I
feel like I help the students each time I am in there.

I stared my first field experience, for my second year in Teacher Academy, yesterday at Hancock North Central Elementary. The teacher that I had was Mrs. Karen Ladner in a Kindergarten classroom. There were only about 20 students in her class. For the Kindergarten wing the theme was bugs, my class had lady bugs. In Mrs. Karen's class she had so many cool thing to do with her lady bugs such as, her behavior plan and when students get there sight words correct, the students would place a black dot on a red bug and once they are full with dots you can choose out of the treasure chest. My over all feeling of being in the classroom was awesome. I feel like when I go in there and help out the students get something out of whatever it is I help with. Its a rewarding feeling and I am ready to experience my next field day.

My teacher have instructed us and helped in many ways. Tomorrow we will continue to work on our site and get them how we want it. Have a nice day.
